It was just the perfect angle, we don't have north and south so much, and it was a 5-way intersection. The arc went past 180 degrees, very rounded, I've never seen anything like that before. I love to hear from you! spSusanna Powershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12171292385713491199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5947786859863241221.post-73248273197323843232010-06-24T07:54:34.664-05:002010-06-24T07:54:34.664-05:00I like this idea that you were trying to take a ph...I like this idea that you were trying to take a photo of the colors of the rainbow but found more interesting colors in the ground. We are in a 10-year (starting maybe 2006?) post-Katrina upgrade of the natural gas lines within the city. Uncharacteristically, our house in Gentilly was in an area that was worked on first. We didn't even have a post office rebuilt/reopened for our zip code until early 2009. But this is from uptown, where the population is dense around universities and schools, desperately in need up upgrades of many kinds! nice to hear from you! spSusanna Powershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12171292385713491199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5947786859863241221.post-63646432414797604972010-06-22T15:54:37.240-05:002010-06-22T15:54:37.240-05:00Oh, for a moment I thought I was looking at one mo...Oh, for a moment I thought I was looking at one more typical post of this blog! It turns out the ground was more photogenic than the sky. These remind me of cave paintings.
Bowlofchicken, Thanks very much, I think the credit goes to the engineers.
Rick, I'm glad you liked this. I love to notice stuff written in human handwriting on sidewalks, bridges, etc., like in this photograph from last year. It looks wonderful to me. I also like the stencilled numbers on the bridges, they make me want to play the lottery. spSusanna Powershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12171292385713491199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5947786859863241221.post-24596987283732921142010-06-22T08:13:48.933-05:002010-06-22T08:13:48.933-05:00These are very nice! These are very nice!Rickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02630742048605089548noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5947786859863241221.post-67222855977794750422010-06-22T06:10:23.770-05:002010-06-22T06:10:23.770-05:00That really is very artistic.
