Hi Ellen, Between you and bayoucreole, that pretty much sums up the lakefront: beautiful, peaceful, hot and muggy. With the emphasis on the hot! sp
Hi bc, I've been thinking about you today. That first boyfriend must have been awfully cute for you to put up with him for several years! Your style of writing is very comfortable. sp
I used to live in the area in those apartments next to the Catholic Church that kind of looks like it was built during the "Flying Nun" era. I can't remember a time when there wasn't some kind of construction going on next to the lake. These photos bring back many fond memories: bike rides with my daughter on the back and lots of walks and the crazy jive people on Sundays w/their hooptie cars a-blarin'
Hi Marc, These days it's been quieter up there, but is slowly being fixed up. We love to drive by and take a look at the beautiful scenery, but only the very heat-tolerant will actually set up their stuff to hang out for any lenghth of time. I keep telling myself "it won't always be summer"... so glad to hear from you. sp
Sorry for my bad taste in art the other day - tsk. I do love today's photo of the park. It's a beautiful waterfront and looks so peaceful.
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures, especially of the lake. I'd go out there if it wasn't so hot and muggy.
