A big "Wow!" to all three shots. Nicely done.
Very interesting nighttime pix!
Lovely shots! Happy Mardie Gras, cher!
Dear Glenn, I'm so glad to have you say that! The human eye is so amazing in how it naturally focuses and adjusts to the light (even mine, with contact lenses of course) and I love to see the way cameras can deal with the same situations. They produce interpretations of reality, not exact reality, for that matter, it's only 2 dimensional and made of pixels. more philosophizing later & thank you, spHi Ellen, I'm glad you liked them. It was only about 6:30 pm on Monday when I was going toward home, but night was definitely in the process of falling. thanks, sp Thanks Marguerite! I always appreciate hearing from you. have a wonderful and happy Mardi Gras! thanks, sp

What Glenn said! I love these.
Hi Amber! thanks very much, so glad you looked in. Glenn's a good person to agree with. haha.... actually, when you're in a New Orleans type of mood, see his two very highly recommended blogs, My Life in the Quarter (photography) and Bigezbear (writing).I wonder if they celebrate carnival to any degree in Austin... Aurora would like beads... color and music. love, sp
*sigh* your pictures are soooo pretty.
Thanks bc! what a sweet thing to say. I am so glad you got over the flu pretty quickly, in time for the parades. hope everybody stays well. sp
