Hi Molly, My neighborhood is about 95% beautifully recovered from the flood (Hurricane Katrina 2005), but even when we are 100%, certain people will want to keep the rescue-marks. I think of it as a "badge of courage". Please see my explanation in the comments of this post last summer. On our street, the most prominent marks are dated 9/10 and 9/14. I would interpret the marks on the blue house to mean that they had made two searches, and found no living or dead people on those dates. thanks for commenting, sp
