  1. I like this a lot. The expanse of sky and road, the wires leading your eyes down to the heart of the picture, even the little self portrait down towards the bottom ;-)

  2. Hi Glenn, thanks, I appreciate you looking at it so closely. Yes, that's either me or Santa Claus in the shadow. sp

  5. I've noticed a difference in outside-the-house holiday decorating up here vice the south. (I always think of Chevy Chase in Nat'l Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and his house lighting adventures.) I do not know why it is not a big thing in this little New England town to go overboard with outside lighting, inflatable Santas etc -- perhaps this has to do with snow? Age of residents? But everyone has those little white, single candlestick lights in every window, even our Town Office building, all the churches and the town library. And when people do use lights outside, they almost always use white lights. Quite pretty.

Saw Faust today, live from the Met in HD. Superb, just outstanding. I've always listened to the live Met radio broadcasts on Sat. afternoons but these Sat. HD presentations are stunning.
