  1. Isn't that a wonderful sculpture in the second shot?

  2. Yes, some more of the open-access public art, in scale with its location. I believe this particular spot is cared for by the residents, who use it all the time. Today is the day before Jazzfest opens, and they've roped off the area with that orange mesh stuff on the tree trunks. The DO NOT ENTER signs have been put up but I will ignore them on my way to work tomorrow morning, since it won't officially be Jazzfest till 11 am. sp

  3. I know the story happens in Atlanta, but the first photo reminded me of Driving Miss Daisy. Such a beautiful image!

  4. Hi Claudia, That's a sweet observation, since we have the same sort of deep greens and pinks of springtime in Atlanta. But in general, our land is flatter and the structures are smaller and closer together (at least than the homes on Lullwater Dr. in Atlanta... where Miss Daisy fictionally lived.) sp

  5. The first photo makes me feel like I'm sitting on a park bench looking at those houses. All of your work has that sense of presence and immediacy.

  6. Dear K., My wish and purpose is to express the experience of what I get to see. I want for you to be able to see through my eyes. Thanks you very much for all the times you have understood this. And also, if you were in that park right at this moment, you would hear the strains of absolute live original New Orleans Funk!

(you'd be hearing literal mixing of the different types of music if you have good hearing! because they are all playing at once.)
And by the way, how do you manage to make a hyperlink in a comment? thanks, sp
