  1. Top picture is neat - what is it of? (I am not familiar with NO.)

  2. What kind of trees? Are all 3 the same? If so, why is tree on right in photo already bare or budding? They look like West Indian mahogany.

  3. Hi Anon., you can comment as anonymous and still sign your name, which is better... but thanks very much. both of these are of the river park behind Audubon Zoo in New Orleans. I often take various photos of a place and post them together. It's fascinating to watch the parade of ocean-going vessels, tugboats, etc., but also this place is known primarily for peacefulness and fun, leisure times. About the trees, I am assuming that they are some sort of oak, at least partially desiduous. The grand trees of New Orleans took a hit in the hurricanes, especially Katrina, and it takes a long time for them to regain their former fullness. These particular photos were taken on Christmas Eve, so they are definitely not budding in this photo. sp

  5. Hi Marguerite! Thanks, it's a sweet day, we just had our coffee smoothie even though it's chilly and gray. And I want to tell you I made your french-bread pizzas last night, I should say a vegetarian variation, and it was really delicious. So nice to hear from you. sp
