  3. I'm completely fascinated by images of demotion. They are so much an unveiling of all that was concealed, dirty laundry hung out on the line. That first image here, especially, is quite startling and beautiful!

  4. Dear T., Thanks, I feel the same way. I called it bittersweet, as all of these Katrina demolitions are, because progress is sweet but the memory of what is lost will break your heart. There used to be a little day care center in the street-side corner of this building, and I remember seeing those little kids being dropped off in the mornings, on my way to work. (that was "before", also known as "the old days"). I have a couple of earlier posts of this building here and here. thanks, sp
