  4. Dear bc, I know, no plants could survive for weeks under the dark oily biotoxic salt sludge of the flood. Azaleas don't live forever in any case... when we moved in, in Gentilly, there were huge old bushes up against the front of the house, which gave a beautiful display in the spring. But they got old & started looking pretty pitiful, so we had them pulled out before Katrina. The azaleas in these photos are on Tulane campus uptown. nice to hear from you, sp
