  1. Thanks, Glenn! it's thrilling for me to see such an extremely wide range of people, all in one place, successfully intent on living in the moment. sp

  2. Glenn seems clued in to something I need to ask about: who are the people sitting behind the police line... in the Gospel Tent?

  3. The uniformed young people in the bleachers must be performers, such as a youth choir group, waiting for their turn on the stage. If you look at the center of the photo, in the distance you can see a photographer, standing in approximately the same place that I stood for the 4th photo in the previous post, in other words, the stage is to the left, and the audience it to the right. I have no idea why the ladies in the foreground were displeased with the tall man in the red shirt. There weren't actual police in evidence, just those barricades bearing their name. Taking pictures at the Jazz Fest is a little like taking a black and white photograph of a peacock, but it's fun for me. Thanks for asking! sp

  5. Dear Emily, No, this was the Jazz Fest, which I went to on last Thurs, 4/29. Sally and I went to the French Quarter Festival earlier in the month, and the post covering that day is on 4/10, if you scroll down, or go to: http://susannapowers.blogspot.com/2010/04/french-quarter-festival-2010.html
The weather, by and large, has been lovely in April, and I must have been more in a festive mood than usual, to attend both this year. May is already hotter. Thanks Kid! Love, sussah
