    That heat looks pretty cool, and a get-outta-my-way attitude is only heightened by humidity. Wonderful photos. (I see you found a new way to make Blogger work for you. Congratulations. It's lovely.)

    Dear Glenn, thanks so much. I failed at having the patience it would take to wait for all the different browsers and blogger to resolve their incompatibility issues, but it was a learning experience. (that's what people always say when the experience was actually better described as "miserable"). You are to be commended for your patience. But I'm happy now and glad it looks good. About the post today, thanks, and I did an earlier version a couple of years ago. keep cool, sp

    Thanks Marguerite, glad you checked in. The dog days are supposed to be later than early June!! We had some rain on Sunday, which was not predicted, and it made the a/c work so much better that day. Then yesterday, a little rain, and the clouds help a lot. stay in the shade! sp

    Dear Sass, thanks for commenting.. only now you're "Anonymous"! Today was a repeat of yesterday with the loud thunder at lunch time. There was hail in Gentilly and the French Quarter, but luckily the car was uptown. The clouds and rain help keep in the low 90s. happy end of school year, love, sis

    Dear bc, My husband said that the Gentilly hail yesterday was "pea-sized", (larger than hominy grits but smaller than golf balls), so probably no damage to cars. thanks bc, watch out for the lightning too! sp
