  1. 6 years ago. I bet it still feels like yesterday. Interesting photo. Thanks.

  2. Hi Molly, thanks. Although I remember it clearly, it feels like a while since then. When something bad happens, the farther away from it you can get in time is for the best in terms of healing. But we should also remember. Did you get any flooding or trees down from Irene? sp

  3. Fortunately, we did not get any trees down (had lost some due to ice storms and that surely helped). Some roads in our town were affected by all the rain but we were lucky compared with all the flooding in VT. Growing up in S. Fla did not help me understand Flash Floods. Golly. We only lost power for 3 hours. She passed west of us. Ironic that we moved to NH from The Bahamas and they still find us! But she was barely a Tropical Storm up here.

    How did Emily do?

Agree completely with you about time.

  4. Hi Molly, That's good to hear, that you didn't have damage. I haven't heard from Emily but pretty sure all is well with them in Boston. In Miami most of that water sinks through that coral rock. I remember sitting on the back porch for one of those storms in the 60s, watching our neighbor run through our back yard, trying to catch up with the plywood that flew off of his house! thanks, sp

  5. Ones I recall from Miami were Donna (1960), Cleo (1964) and Betsy (1965).
