Pretty. Do you think that will be the final color? Are these places you pass as you walk to work? (For some reason I picture you walk to work, not sure if that is correct.)
Hi Molly, thanks, my guess is that these are the colors, but they still need to touch it up. I used to walk to work when I lived uptown, but now I live in the area of town people call Gentilly, and I drive along a slow and bumpy route rather than use the I-10. It's shadier and to me, more beautiful. This is on my way, it's on N. Jefferson Davis Pkwy. between Tulane and Canal. sp
Thanks, I like your description of "a slow and bumpy route" vice I-10. Time difference between the two choices to get to work?
After living in rural CT and commuting into Hartford/East Hartford, living on Andros was a dream: we did not have a car; we either walked or rode our bikes to the building we worked in.
If there were no traffic, it would take 10 minutes on the interstate, and 15 on the S&B cross-town route. However there is traffic, so it normally takes me 25 minutes, and the other way might be 20, I'd hate to have to find out. but wherever you go, there very well may be unexpected delays, such as new construction, movie-making, an accident, a funeral, or a parade. thanks, sp
Hi K.! thanks, wonderful to hear from you! and that's quite a compliment. they were working on this house yesterday as I drove by. you'd smile to see it in person. it's next door to the bottom shot here. sp

ReplyDeleteVery cool looking steps! It gives a clue to the occupant's personality. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Marguerite, I thought they looked great too. Lots of painted steps around, but these were the most attractive ones I've seen. thanks, sp
ReplyDeleteThe top picture is a beauty. Only you can make orange concrete look appealing!
